Kale is a nutrient-dense leafy green vegetable that is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and has been linked to several health benefits including improved heart health and reduced inflammation.
- 2 cups kale leaves, torn into pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (khada namak)
- Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix very well using your hands.
- Place them on a baking tray lined with butter paper. Make sure you place them in such a way that they do not touch each other.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 7 minutes. Turn each kale piece over and bake again for 5 minutes.
- Cool completely and serve.
- Before baking them, make sure you tear the stems, wash the leaves and dry them completely. Even little water can “steam” the chips and lead to soggy kale chips!
- Perk them up by adding garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper to them before baking.
