Ingredients

  • 1 cup Tur Dal (Kandipappu)
  • 1/4 cup Chana Dal
  • 1/4 cup Moong Dal
  • 10–15 Dry Red Chilies (adjust to spice preference)
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
  • Salt to taste

Optional Add-ons:

  • 1/2 tbsp Oil (for roasting)
  • 3–4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 small Tamarind ball 

Method:

  • Roast  Tur dal and spices separately on low flame
  • cool completely, grind with salt into a fine powder
  •  store airtight.
