Lauki Ki Kheer Recipe: A Delicious and Nutritious Dessert Made with Bottle Gourd

- 1 cup grated bottle gourd (doodhi / lauki)
- 2 cups low-fat milk , 99.7% fat-free
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/8 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

Method:
- Combine the milk and bottle gourd in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes or till the bottle gourd is cooked, while stirring occasionally and scraping the sides of the pan.
- Add the sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for another 1 to 2 minutes or till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Keep aside to cool completely and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
