ROSELLA SPRITZER

1.  Brew the Rosella Tea                      

  • Take 3g of dried rosella petals.
  • Steep them in 150ml hot water (75 °C) for 4 minutes.
  • Strain and measure out 60ml of this tea for the recipe.

2. Prepare the Mix

In a cocktail shaker, add:

  • 30ml Pineapple Juice (adds sweetness & tropical freshness).
  • 20g Rosella Jam (deep hibiscus flavor & body).
  • 60ml Rosella Tea (tart floral base).
  • 3 Fresh Basil Leaves (herbal freshness).
  • 80g Ice (to chill & dilute slightly).

Shake well until chilled.

3. Assemble the Drink

  • Strain the shaken mix into a serving glass (preferably a tall glass).
  • Top with tonic water (adds sparkle & slight bitterness to balance sweetness).

4. Flavor Profile

  • Rosella (hibiscus): tart, floral, slightly cranberry-like.
  • Pineapple juice: sweet & tropical.
  • Rosella jam: concentrated hibiscus sweetness.
  • Basil: herbal lift.
  • Tonic water: fizzy, slightly bitter, refreshing.
